SANGUINE

meaning: cheerfully optimistic, hopeful, or confident:

When people think of me after I leave this world, there are two things that I hope will be said…One, she did ‘well done’ for her Lord and two, what a sanguine attitude she shared with this world! A positive perspective has always been a vital part of my being. When asked if I am a half-empty or half-full kind of gal, my answer has always been, all-full!!! For when a glass is empty, it is simply and plainly filled with air! Therefore, half-empty or half-full is a mistaken belief.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there are problems in life. I’m not oblivious to this fact. Depression has afflicted me at various junctures and anxiety has reared its ugly head a time or two. But as I tell my clients, it’s ok to not be ok, it’s just not ok to stay there.

So with a skip in my step and a sanguine posture, I will continue seeking and seeing the good in people and circumstances. It’s a choice. And I choose this side of the coin at every turn. For in between the lines, there is always something cheerful to be found. Even if it is minute in stature. This is what fills my breath and keeps me going in times of good and bad. There is a bit of joy hiding around every corner, just waiting to be found.

Creatively His, Sue:)
